LA County Now Permitting All Retail to open at 50% Capacity
Faith-based Services May Also Resume with Limited Capacity

Beverly Hills, CA – The County of Los Angeles today issued an updated Health Officer Order which continues to relax restrictions during the recovery period from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Activities now permitted under the changes include:

  • Faith-based organizations may resume services, with the number of congregants limited to less than 25% of the building’s capacity, or a maximum of 100 people, whichever is lower.
  • All retail, including those located in indoor and outdoor retail shopping centers may now open for business at 50% capacity.
  • Flea markets, swap meets and drive-in movie theaters may resume operations.
  • Pools, hot tubs and saunas that are in a multi-unit residence or part of a homeowners association may now open.

This update allows businesses in the City of Beverly Hills that fall within these categories to begin operating immediately. 

The Health Officer order continues to limit restaurants to curbside pick-up and requires the following establishments to remain closed:  Bars and nightclubs; gyms and fitness centers; movie theatres; concert halls; stadiums and arenas; bowling alleys; personal care businesses including nail salons, hair salons and massage establishments; indoor and outdoor playgrounds for children; community centers; indoor museums; events and gatherings as specified in the Order.
