City of Beverly Hills Human Services Division Offers Vital Services for our Most Vulnerable

Beverly Hills, Calif. – As the City of Beverly Hills follows the Safer at Home Order for Control of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we understand that this may cause many people, especially our most vulnerable, to experience feelings of helplessness and isolation. We want to remind community members of all the valuable available resources provided by our Human Services Division and the Social Service Safety Net of community partners. If you know people in the community that are 65 or older, or others who are our most vulnerable, and residents of Beverly Hills who could use additional support to meet basic needs,  please contact Human Services at 310-285-1078, or email humanservices@beverlyhills.org.

Many community members have already come together, practicing the Neighbor-Helping- Neighbor movement or joining the COVID-19 Beverly Hills Kindness Task Force, which allows the City to have a pool of viable volunteers when and where help is needed most.  Residents can go to  www.beverlyhills.org/kindnesstaskforce to join.

We encourage those who would like to help immediately, find nearby organizations that are providing vital services like The American Red Cross who are in vital need of blood donations, www.redcrossblood.org; or, Project Angel Food, an organization that prepares and delivers meals to chronically-ill and immunosuppressed individuals in need. If interested, go to volunteers@angelfood.org or call 323-845.1816.

As developments with the Novel Coronavirus continue to evolve, please visit www.beverlyhills.org/novelcoronavirus for the latest information.
